Company Purpose

Die Stiftung bezweckt zur Vermeidung und Behandlung von Vergiftungen mit toxischen Produkten und Stoffen sowie zur Förderung der Kenntnisse darüber: den Betrieb einer möglichst vollständigen, laufend nachgeführten Dokumentation über die für Mensch und Tier toxischen Produkte und Stoffe; die Behandlungsmethoden, die bei Vergiftungen empfohlen werden; den Betrieb eines täglich während 24 Stunden gewährleisteten, in der Regel telefonischen Auskunfts- und Beratungsdienstes für Notfälle, dieser soll Fachleuten und Laien helfen, Vergiftungen zu erkennen und richtig zu behandeln; die Förderung der allgemeinen Kenntnisse von Fachleuten und Laien über toxische Produkte und Stoffe sowie den sicheren Umgang damit; die Veröffentlichung von Berichten und Untersuchungen über toxische Produkte und Stoffe in Fach- und Laienmedien; die fachtechnische Unterstützung der Toxikovigilanz; den wissenschaftlichen Austausch mit Hochschulen sowie Fachorganisationen und -stellen für Toxikologie im In- und Ausland.
