Company Purpose

Die Stiftung bietet eine internationale und interdisziplinäre Plattform auf hohem Niveau für Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft; sie bietet herausragenden Persönlichkeiten die Gelegenheit zum Erfahrungsaustausch und zur Diskussion von Schlüsselfragen der Natur- und Geisteswissenschaften, der Forschung, Wirtschaft und Politik; sie bietet jungen Wissenschaftlern die Möglichkeit, sich in enger Zusammenarbeit mit erfahrenen Persönlichkeiten über globale und zukunftsorientierte Themen auseinanderzusetzen; sie schlägt Brücken zwischen Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft durch Öffnung der wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeit gegenüber weiteren interessierten Kreisen; sie ermöglicht, dass der "genius loci" des Hochtals Engelberg und der enge Bezug zum Benediktinerkloster ein zentrales Element der Akademie bilden.
