Beschaffung und Abgabe elektrischer Energie. Das Versorgungsgebiet umfasst die Gemeinden Laupersdorf, Matzendorf, Aedermannsdorf, Herbetswil und einzelne Berghöfe in Mümliswil-Ramiswil. Kann die von Energieerzeugungsanlagen im Versorgungsgebiet gewonnene Energie zu reglementarisch festgesetzten Preisen übernehmen, sich an anderen Unternehmungen beteiligen sowie Grundstücke und Liegenschaften erwerben und veräussern.
